The Master of Science in Applied and Computational Mathematics program is designed to equip students with practical expertise across various applied mathematics fields, potentially focusing on a particular application area, to ready them for professional roles in industry. Both the Graduate School and the Department mandate at least 36 credit hours for any M.Sc. degree, along with completing 9 courses that include core curriculum components. Detailed program-specific requirements are available in this guide. Students considering optional independent study should consult the relevant policy. Although this isn't a thesis-based program, participants may opt to undertake an M.Sc. thesis, which involves additional requirements beyond the standard coursework. Those selecting the thesis option must successfully defend their work orally. Further information can be accessed
