The Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing & Poetics program at the University of Washington Bothell focuses on nurturing each student's artistic growth through an innovative curriculum designed to foster creative exploration. Our unique approach structures learning around thematic investigations rather than traditional genre divisions. Unlike conventional MFA programs, we empower writers to freely cross boundaries between genres and artistic mediums to best serve their creative vision. With a strong emphasis on innovative approaches and blended forms, our program cultivates a vibrant community of writers engaged in redefining literary practice for our evolving world.
