The University of Washington's undergraduate Psychology program provides a comprehensive foundation in human and animal behavior through a curriculum focused on contemporary research and theories. Learn more about the Psychology major.
Our undergraduate Psychology program emphasizes developing scientific and statistical reasoning abilities, enabling students to critically assess data, assertions, and theories in both academic and public domains. Undergraduates gain hands-on experience through research involvement, practical fieldwork, and guided teaching positions. Graduates apply their knowledge across diverse professions including counseling, education, and scientific investigation. The program also allows students from various UW disciplines to incorporate psychology into their broader educational experience.
Student must have a High School Qualification.
Due to limited testing availability from COVID-19, the UW will accept the Duolingo’s English Test for autumn 2021 applicants. A minimum score of 105 will be required for admission. The TOEFL iBT special home edition and the IELTS Indicator at home exam will also be accepted for 2021 international freshman applicants.
