This field investigates how literary works' stylistic and persuasive elements both influence and reflect societal norms, perspectives, and ideologies. With a global perspective, the program fosters wide-ranging intellectual inquiry, examining connections across cultures and between literature and other disciplines like philosophy, religious studies, political theory, and art history.
