The University of Virginia's one-year Master of Science in the Management of Information Technology (M.S. in MIT) Program stands at the forefront of cultivating skilled technology leaders and strategic business thinkers. The curriculum covers essential subjects for aspiring tech executives, such as digital transformation, innovation, product management, digital platforms, data analytics, and strategic planning. While maintaining your current job, this intensive one-year program teaches you to synchronize technology with business objectives, deploy groundbreaking IT solutions, and spearhead large-scale organizational projects that drive profitability and generate value. Qualification Requirements

Admitted students are academically competitive, have successfully held positions of professional responsibility related to the management of IT, and demonstrate qualities of character such as motivation, maturity, tenacity, integrity, ability to work with others, self-reliance, and leadership. Factors such as diversity of perspective and functional expertise outside of IT may also be considered.

Have a conferred bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university. The M.S. in MIT Program accepts students with a wide range of undergraduate majors.
Have a minimum of two years of professional work experience (post bachelor's degree) that includes significant managerial or technical involvement with IT.
Demonstrate strong oral and written English language skills. Non-native English speakers may need to submit official TOEFL or IELTS scores.

Standardized test scores are not required for admission to the M.S. in MIT Program.
