Printmaking offers a diverse and comprehensive artistic approach. Learners explore various techniques and pathways, viewing the medium as a dynamic tool for expressing concepts and bridging other fields. The program covers introductory classes in Intaglio, Screenprinting, Lithography, Relief, and Letterpress. Participants gain thorough practical understanding of these methods, encompassing digital and photographic applications, along with producing limited edition prints. While structured assignments help build essential technical abilities, the focus remains on creative concepts and their evolution. Advanced students are prompted to experiment with unconventional methods, materials, or theoretical perspectives. Letterpress instruction and complementary Book Arts courses in the Marriott Library are also available.
