The APA-accredited1 Clinical Training Program offered by the University of Utah's Psychology Department adheres to a clinical science2 approach, emphasizing thorough education in applying scientific methods to both research and practical aspects of clinical psychology. Our program focuses on delivering exceptional training in evidence-based research and scientifically grounded clinical practice. To achieve these objectives, we leverage the diverse expertise of our clinical faculty, collaborate with other departments, and utilize outstanding on-campus and off-campus training facilities. The Clinical Program spans six years, consisting of five years of academic study and supervised training at the University of Utah, followed by a one-year predoctoral internship.
