The International Studies (IS) program offers a versatile, cross-disciplinary degree that equips students with deep insights into today's pressing global challenges. This major explores worldwide concerns through local, national, and international perspectives, cultivating critical thinking abilities and intercultural awareness for meaningful professional paths. The curriculum starts with introductory courses covering three key themes: Peoples, Challenges, and Systems. Students integrate these concepts in the foundational course, then specialize in one of seven concentrations: Development & Sustainability, Foreign Relations & Security, Global Health, Culture & Identity, Trade & Commerce, European Studies, or Human Rights through diverse electives. All IS students must complete either a study abroad experience or global internship.

Graduates enter diverse fields across public and private sectors worldwide. Potential roles include language specialists (translators/interpreters), diplomatic positions, entrepreneurs, or professionals in global commerce, marketing, and consulting.
