Global Studies offers an interdisciplinary perspective on both historical and modern globalization, including opposition movements. This program facilitates an in-depth exploration of cultural, economic, and political systems, enabling students to critically assess worldwide exchanges of individuals, concepts, artistic expressions, goods, and capital. Additionally, it equips learners with scholarly frameworks to develop fair approaches to urgent global issues. Those pursuing an A.A., A.B., or A.S. degree with a Global Studies focus can transition to bachelor's programs in Global/International Studies or other internationally-oriented disciplines. Important: While the Global Studies Emphasis doesn't guarantee university transfer agreements, many courses may fulfill prerequisites for global studies-related degree programs.
