Explore diverse global cultures and develop into a well-rounded world citizen through the International Studies program at the University of Utah. This curriculum equips students with descriptive, analytical, and methodological frameworks to comprehend both global affairs and the United States' international role. The program structure includes three foundational components: Peoples, Challenges, and Systems, along with specialized electives in one concentration area: Development & Sustainability, Foreign Relations & Security, Global Health, Culture & Identity, Trade & Commerce, European Studies, or Language/Culture Electives. All participants must complete either a study abroad experience or an international internship. By examining languages, geography, ethics, and human behavior, students build a foundation for analyzing worldwide concerns and their local and global consequences. Graduates emerge ready for various career paths across domestic and international settings.
