The Russell School of Chemical Engineering provides programs culminating in a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering (B.S.Ch.E.) degree.
With guidance from advisors, students can select specialized electives to focus their studies, including pre-med pathways. High-achieving undergraduates may engage in research projects, potentially leading to a senior thesis. Honors Program participants can also conduct chemical engineering research. Top-performing students, with advisor consent, may customize their curriculum for deeper specialization.
Program Objectives
Graduates with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering will demonstrate the ability to:
analyze and resolve challenging engineering issues using engineering fundamentals, scientific principles, and mathematical concepts
develop engineering solutions addressing technical requirements while considering public safety, environmental impact, and socioeconomic factors
effectively convey technical information to diverse [technical/management/non-technical/etc.] stakeholders
