UMBC's Accelerated Program allows students to apply up to 9 credits toward both their bachelor's and master's degrees simultaneously. This efficient pathway helps you advance your education while saving both time and money. GRE scores aren't mandatory for BSMS program applicants. The program offers thesis, project, and course-only tracks. BSMS students follow the same curriculum as traditional MS candidates, with the added benefit of applying 9 credits from their undergraduate electives toward the graduate degree, provided these are dual-level 400/600 courses completed at the 600-level. Thesis-track students should secure a research advisor by their junior year and initiate research before their senior year begins.
