Chemical Engineers design production methods for diverse fields such as food processing, pharmaceuticals, chemical manufacturing, biotech, and environmental solutions - from developing life-saving medications to purifying air and water systems. The Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering program, certified by ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology), offers multiple specialization paths. While all students complete the same fundamental chemical engineering coursework, variations occur in the science requirements and elective technical classes chosen.
