The Department of Materials Science and Engineering (MSEG) provides an accelerated 4+1 BS/MMSE program designed for top-performing University of Delaware undergraduates. This initiative enables students to obtain both a Bachelor's degree from collaborating departments (such as Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical & Computer, and Civil & Environmental Engineering in the College of Engineering, along with Biology, Chemistry, and Physics in the College of Arts and Sciences) and a Master's in Materials Science and Engineering (MMSE) through five years of full-time study.
