The Mechanical Engineering PhD represents a joint academic and investigative partnership between the University of Texas at San Antonio and the Southwest Research Institute, a globally recognized nonprofit research organization specializing in applied sciences and technological innovations. Students develop specialized knowledge in fields crucial to San Antonio, Texas, and national priorities, including Thermal and Fluid Systems, Mechanical Design, Materials Science, and Biomechanical Engineering.
