Those seeking a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology can specialize in athletic training, rehabilitation science, exercise science, physical education, or strength and conditioning. Athletic training concentrators gain qualifications for state licensure, though admission to UTSA's Athletic Training Apprenticeship Program is required. National certification necessitates graduate-level study at an accredited institution. Rehabilitation science students prepare for healthcare careers like physical or occupational therapy, which also require advanced accredited education.
