If you have a passion for working with various electronic devices and want to learn how to research, design, test, and manufacture them, pursuing electrical engineering could be an ideal path. UTSA's Electrical Engineering program, accredited by ABET's Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC), builds a solid grounding in engineering sciences. You'll gain the analytical, design, and synthesis skills necessary to work proficiently with both conventional and cutting-edge technologies. In this curriculum, you can select from specializations such as Communications, Computer Engineering, Digital Signal Processing (DSP), Electronic Materials and Devices, Systems and Control, and Electric Power Engineering. Each concentration allows you to cultivate a specialized expertise that can lead to careers with electronics firms, high-tech sectors, and government organizations.
