A bachelor's degree from an accredited U.S. institution or proof of equivalent education at a foreign institution.
The bachelor's degree must be in English or the applicant must have 12 hours of advanced-level English courses plus ENGL 4355 or the equivalent.

Three letters of recommendation.

Applicants from countries where English is not the first language are required to demonstrate English proficiency.

Minimum score 550 on the paper-based (pBT) TOEFL. Some programs require 600 or better. Minimum score of 79 on the internet-based test (iBT), and minimum of 6.5 on IELTS.
