The Master of Accountancy comprises two key elements. The Pre-Master component involves 36 credit hours covering accounting, business law, economics, quantitative methods, marketing, and finance. Graduates with an AACSB-accredited accounting degree are exempt from prerequisite courses.

Qualification Requirements

Applicants who have earned university-level credit from foreign institutions are required to submit all official transcripts. An evaluation of the transcripts from a foreign credential agency is required only if transcripts are not translated into English. If applying through a Centralized Application Service, verify specific requirements for degree evaluation.
If you did not attend high school in the United States and your most recent institution of learning was not located in an English-speaking country, UTEP requires you to provide evidence of English-language proficiency. Minimum score 550 on the paper-based (pBT) TOEFL. Some programs require 600 or better. Minimum score of 79 on the internet-based test (iBT), and minimum of 6.5 on IELTS.
