The Master of Science in Accountancy (MSA) program equips students with the skills needed for successful careers in professional accounting. This program helps fulfill the educational prerequisites for sitting the uniform CPA exam.
Through the MSA, students can thoroughly investigate specialized accounting fields aligned with their career aspirations. Participants choose from three focus areas (Accounting Information Systems, Financial Reporting, or Taxation), tailoring their coursework to align with individual professional objectives. With intimate class settings, students benefit from close faculty interaction and access to the resources of the Charles W. Lamden School of Accountancy.
CPA licensure requirements in California and other states are regulated by state authorities. SDSU does not guarantee that its MSA program satisfies all educational criteria for CPA certification in every jurisdiction.
