The Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology provides three specialized tracks to equip students for diverse careers in health and fitness. Students in this major examine motor skill acquisition, exercise's impact on body mechanics and physiology, sports injury rehabilitation techniques, and other key areas. This field represents one of America's fastest-growing professional sectors, with the Bureau of Labor Statistics projecting job growth in related fields at almost triple the national average across all occupations.
Kinesiology department courses ready students for credentials including Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), Personal Trainer, Clinical Exercise Physiologist (CEP), Physical Education Teacher certifications, plus advanced study in Kinesiology, Physical/Occupational Therapy, Athletic Training, medical programs, and more. Undergraduates can choose between two primary focus areas: Exercise Science or Physical Education.
