The Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Biological Sciences offers a versatile degree path for students wanting to merge their biology interests with other fields like arts, liberal arts, business, or biomedical engineering. This program suits pre-med students and those following various career paths. The College of Science and the College of Business Administration collaborate on a joint degree for undergraduates in the BS in Biological Sciences – Biomedical Science Concentration who also aim to earn a Master of Business Administration. Eligible students must have a 3.3 cumulative GPA and 90 credit hours in their major to apply for the UTEP MBA program. Upon acceptance, BSMBA fast-track participants can take 12 credit hours of MBA core courses that fulfill both BS elective and MBA core requirements.

Qualification Requirements
Official High School or College transcripts must be sent directly from the schools attended in the U.S. or abroad. Foreign transcripts in a language other than English must be translated before being submitted to the university. Copies or faxes are considered unofficial and will not satisfy this admission requirement.
All international students must submit entrance exam scores. Take one of the following exams and request your scores to be sent directly to UTEP from the testing center:
SAT: minimum score of 1070 (reading + math sections) with a score of 480 on the reading section
ACT: minimum composite score of 23 with a score of 19 on the English section
TOEFL: minimum score of 500 on UTEP’s institutional paper based exam or
a minimum score of 61 on the Internet Based TOEFL (IBT)
UTEP does not accept IELTS scores for admission.
