The Department of Languages and Linguistics's French program provides both undergraduate major and minor options. It works jointly with the College of Education to train aspiring French instructors. The French program also complements various university disciplines like Spanish, Linguistics, History, Psychology, Political Science, and Women's Studies. As a minor, French pairs exceptionally well with Liberal Arts degrees such as psychology and political science, given France's historical and contemporary intellectual impact in these fields.
