Speech-language pathologists and audiologists are healthcare specialists dedicated to addressing speech, language, and hearing disorders.
Speech-language pathologists examine how speech and language develop and assist both children and adults with communication challenges. Audiologists investigate the physical, physiological, and psychological components of hearing, offering therapeutic solutions and technological aids for individuals with hearing impairments or balance issues. The speech, language, and hearing sciences curriculum in the School of Behavioral and Brain Sciences prepares students for advanced studies, clinical certification, and professional careers in these fields.
