The MSSW program consists of 60 credit hours of coursework along with 960 hours of supervised field internships. Students can choose between two specializations: Clinical Social Work or Administration and Policy Practice. Both concentrations provide numerous options to customize the program according to individual interests and career objectives. The foundational curriculum equips students for general social work practice while fostering professional identity and understanding of the field. Coursework covers social work ethics, vulnerable populations, human behavior theories, organizational dynamics, social policies, and research methods. The program maintains a strong focus on serving diverse communities, promoting social equity, and contributing to professional knowledge development.
This specialization equips students with ethical, research-informed clinical skills for working with individuals, families, groups, and communities through culturally sensitive approaches. The curriculum covers clinical diagnostics, group therapy techniques, and specialized electives including trauma treatment, attachment theory, motivational techniques, and cognitive behavioral interventions.
