The MSSW program consists of 60 credit hours of coursework along with 960 hours of supervised field internships. Students can choose between two specializations: Clinical Social Work or Administration and Policy Practice. Both tracks provide numerous options to customize your degree according to your professional aspirations. The core curriculum equips students with general social work competencies while fostering professional identity development. Coursework covers social work ethics, vulnerable populations, human behavior theories, organizational dynamics, social policy, and research methods. The program maintains a strong focus on serving diverse communities, promoting social equity, and contributing to professional knowledge, regardless of specialization.
This specialization equips you with ethical, culturally aware practice skills for various human service settings including government agencies, community organizations, and both nonprofit and for-profit institutions.
The curriculum encompasses strategic collaboration, data management, organizational administration, program assessment, funding proposals, advanced policy implementation, and leadership development.
