The Master of Global Policy Studies program equips students for today's interconnected world by providing comprehensive, hands-on training in international policy development.
Blending a strong interdisciplinary foundation with flexible specialization options, we ready our students for diverse policy careers spanning national security, intelligence, diplomacy, international development, global governance, legal frameworks, energy, trade, and environmental policy.
This degree can be completed through either a traditional two-year, full-time campus program in Austin or an accelerated 15-month option featuring a final semester of study and professional experience in Washington DC.
Students must have a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in the United States or a comparable degree from a foreign academic institution. A grade point average of at least 3.00 in upper-division (junior- and senior-level) coursework and in any graduate work already completed.
The minimum scores considered acceptable for admission by the Graduate School are:
TOEFL: 79 on the Internet-based test (iBT)
IELTS: An overall band of 6.5 on the Academic Examination
