This program is tailored to address the growing need for skilled laboratory personnel across healthcare facilities, research institutions, industries, public health organizations, and educational settings. The curriculum blends academic studies with a comprehensive 12-16 month clinical training period at an accredited medical laboratory science or medical technology institution. Molecular biosciences students can specialize in biology, biochemistry, or medical laboratory science, with opportunities to participate in laboratory research, international study programs, and internships during their time at UT. Graduates pursue diverse career trajectories, including positions in biotechnology, healthcare, scientific research, and education, or continue their studies in professional healthcare programs and graduate schools.
If you are an international applicant, you must have completed an accredited secondary school series equivalent to that of a U.S. high school.
