The Medical Laboratory Technology certificate equips students with fundamental knowledge and practical skills for careers in this field. All certificate courses also count toward an AAAS degree in Medical Laboratory Technology. This program prepares learners for clinical laboratory roles as Medical Laboratory Technicians (MLTs). After earning the certificate, graduates qualify to take the national MLT certification exam, which is mandatory for healthcare employment. Shoreline Community College collaborates with clinical partners, an MLT advisory board, and follows accreditation standards to ensure students acquire relevant, up-to-date skills for today's job market.
