The Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and Dance program enables students to investigate various artistic fields within the department, such as dance, design and technology, dramaturgy, acting techniques, playwriting and directing, and youth theatre. This flexible B.A. program offers elective options that let students pair this degree with other certification programs or pursue a double major.
Each year, the department stages six to eight main productions featuring diverse performance styles, from classical works to contemporary plays, musicals, and original creations. Theatre majors also gain access to over 20 annual performance chances, with numerous student-led productions offering valuable experience in directing, writing, production management, design, and dramaturgy.
During their UT journey, B.A. students engage in artistic exploration, graduating with both fundamental competencies and enhanced self-awareness as creative professionals. The program equips graduates with the practical experience and preparation needed to excel in their desired theatrical careers.
If you are an international applicant, you must have completed an accredited secondary school series equivalent to that of a U.S. high school.
Minimum scores acceptable for admission are:
TOEFL: 79 (internet-based test)
IELTS: An overall band of 6.5 on the Academic Examination
