Bachelor's Degree
The Department of Classics provides two bachelor's degree options: Classical Languages and Classical Studies. Each major requires students to select one of five specialized tracks. The Classical Languages program is ideal for those passionate about Latin and Greek literature and linguistics. Regardless of the chosen track, most upper-level coursework involves Latin and/or Greek classes. Students pursuing Classical Languages must complete a minor in a discipline outside Greek, Latin, or Classical Civilization. The Greek concentration blends intensive Greek language study with Classical Civilization and/or Latin courses, emphasizing detailed analysis of classical-era literary, historical, and philosophical works.
