The Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) is a five-year professional program offering a challenging design-focused education, combining technological expertise with architectural history and theory. This NAAB-accredited degree meets all academic requirements for internships and eventual licensure, equipping graduates for the realities of architectural practice.
At UT Austin's School of Architecture, the design studio approach is central to learning. Studios foster creative exchange, teamwork, experimentation, and hands-on experience. This collaborative space brings students together to explore ideas, develop projects, and engage in critiques with peers, instructors, industry experts, and community members.
If you are an international applicant, you must have completed an accredited secondary school series equivalent to that of a U.S. high school.
Minimum scores acceptable for admission are:
TOEFL: 79 (internet-based test)
IELTS: An overall band of 6.5 on the Academic Examination
