This 120-credit hour interdisciplinary program equips students for careers in environmental and sustainability fields while exploring human-environment interactions, perceptions, and policy frameworks. The curriculum develops graduates' abilities to assess intricate environmental challenges, compare alternative energy solutions, implement pollution control measures, evaluate health risks, oversee natural resource management, and analyze climate change impacts. Students gain versatile competencies including analytical reasoning, research methodologies, data interpretation, and effective communication - skills applicable across various professions. The program emphasizes collaborative approaches to developing environmental regulations and raising public consciousness about ecological issues.
Students must have completed official secondary school transcripts, diplomas, certificates and/or national test examination scores as appropriate for the educational systems in their country. In order to be considered for freshman admission students must have completed secondary school studies equivalent to that of United States high school graduation.
Official SAT I or ACT scores are required for entering freshmen with less than 24 semester hours of university level course work (equivalent to one year of full time study).
The minimum acceptable score on the TOEFL is 79 on the Internet-based test, 550 on the paper-based test and 213 on the computer-based test. The IELTS can be substituted for TOEFL scores. The minimum acceptable overall score of 6.5 is required for admission.
