The Master of Science program specializing in statistics equips students with essential theoretical knowledge and practical skills to apply statistical methods effectively in their respective fields. Faculty members engage in diverse consulting initiatives and research collaborations across multiple academic disciplines. This MS degree is exclusively available through the Intercollegiate Graduate Statistics and Data Science Program (IGSDSP), allowing students to pursue an MS in statistics alongside a doctoral degree in another department. Students may apply a limited number of approved doctoral-level courses from their primary department toward the statistics MS requirements. Likewise, qualifying statistics coursework completed for other master's or doctoral programs may fulfill requirements for the statistics minor. The program welcomes graduate students from all participating departments that have an approved concurrent Master's curriculum. An executive committee, comprising representatives from involved colleges and guided by program faculty, oversees the program's administration.
