The urbanism specialization offers architecture and design students a framework to cultivate profound insights into how architectural concepts influence diverse urban scenarios across various settings. This focus area encourages both critical analysis and creative exploration of the intricate processes shaping cities at all levels, from single structures to expansive metropolitan and regional landscapes. Learners examine architecture's broader societal functions in modern urban environments: addressing urban expansion, infrastructure planning, environmental impacts, and spatial organization challenges. Those engaged in this specialization's projects will generate fresh perspectives on the interconnected economic, political, technological, and social factors inherent in urban development, both in North America and worldwide.
