The Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering provides doctoral and master's programs in chemical engineering, along with a combined MS-MBA degree in partnership with Haslam College of Business. Doctoral candidates can additionally pursue a specialization in Energy Science and Engineering. The department also features a graduate certification program in Reliability and Maintainability Engineering with a chemical engineering focus.
Master's programs generally require three semesters of full-time enrollment or two to three years for part-time students. Earning a PhD typically demands four to five years of full-time study for bachelor's degree holders, while those entering with a master's degree usually complete the program in approximately three years.
