The food and nutrition program (1211) offers comprehensive training in food and nutritional sciences, complemented by foundational studies in physical and biological sciences. This concentration equips graduates for professional opportunities in food science, food technology, child nutrition programs (previously known as school food services), higher education food administration, business sectors, institutional food operations, and leadership roles in diverse group dining environments.

Participants must fulfill either a guided practical internship or complete 12 credit hours of advanced specialized electives. These pathways enable students to tailor their educational experience to align with their professional aspirations.
