The Engineering Department enables students to acquire specialized expertise in a demanding discipline that opens doors to diverse professional career paths. The engineering curriculum provides a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BSE) with focus areas including civil, computer, electrical manufacturing, and mechatronics, along with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME). These degree programs stress core engineering design principles, balancing theoretical knowledge with hands-on applications reinforced through laboratory work and industry projects. All students are required to successfully complete the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam, initiating their journey toward Professional Engineer licensure.
Manufacturing engineering professionals develop production systems and equipment for creating goods. Their responsibilities encompass designing operational workflows, production sequences, and specialized tooling like dies or molds. These specialists optimize machinery utilization to enhance productivity while managing expenses effectively. Modern manufacturing frequently incorporates automated systems, robotics, and computerized controls. Our alumni are employed by firms producing various goods for automotive, electronics, and consumer goods industries.
