The Department of Mechanical Engineering is dedicated to providing exceptional undergraduate and graduate education in mechanical engineering, conducting important fundamental and applied research in specific fields, and delivering professional services to the key stakeholders of a leading land grant university. Mechanical engineering plays a role in nearly all technological sectors and is predominant in many, such as automotive, transportation, materials handling, environmental and pollution control systems, refrigeration and cryogenics, power systems design, automation, system dynamics and control, computer-aided design and manufacturing, capital equipment design, and consumer goods production. Mechanical engineers may work in design, development, research, testing, manufacturing, management, marketing, consulting, or education.
Student are required to have a high school graduation
English Language Proficiency Requirements: TOEFL iBT – 79; IELTS Academic – 6.5; Pearson Test of Academic English (PTE Academic) – 59; Cambridge Assessment English (CAE) C1 Advanced – 180.
Application Deadline for Fall: For freshmen international students the deadlines are November 1 (early action 1 deadline), December 1 (early action 2 deadline) and January 1 (regular deadline)
