Mechanical engineers apply concepts of energy, mechanics, and materials to create and produce diverse machinery and devices, while developing the processes and systems that power technology and industry. As one of the most comprehensive engineering fields, the Mechanical Engineering BS degree equips students to excel in design, development, manufacturing, and testing across multiple sectors. Graduates have also achieved success in pursuing advanced studies through UB's graduate programs and other top-tier engineering programs nationwide.
Have earned the equivalent of a U.S. high school diploma.  If you have already completed secondary school, you need to submit both academic transcripts and proof of graduation with your application documents. 
Students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.000, both overall and at the University at Buffalo
