The UTC English Department provides minors in literature and creative writing, along with bachelor's degree options in Creative Writing, Literary Studies, and Rhetoric & Professional Writing. Our curriculum equips students with historical, theoretical, and practical understanding of cultural and linguistic influences that mold our world. You'll learn to critically examine both literary and non-literary works while developing your own compelling writing style. The Rhetoric & Professional Writing Program at UTC gives students both theoretical knowledge and hands-on abilities to understand and participate in public discourse across different eras. Learners explore classical debates and contemporary rhetoric while gaining writing, design, and audience adaptation techniques. Graduates pursue careers as copywriters, technical writers, marketing specialists, publishers, and other writing-focused professions.
