The Bachelor of Arts in Museum Studies (BAMS) program offers hands-on museum training to prepare students for careers in cultural heritage management, curation, and museum operations. Recognized by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD), this 39-40 credit program complements dual majors in fields like visual arts, business, education, history, chemistry, and forensic science. Led by active art historians, curators, and museum experts, the curriculum serves as a foundation for advanced studies in curation, museum studies, and arts administration. Students gain comprehensive art history and museology knowledge, equipping them for graduate studies while developing practical skills for entry-level positions in diverse institutions—from art and history museums to children's museums, commercial galleries, and public art organizations. For BFA in Arts and B.A. in Visual Arts students, the BAMS program enhances exhibition development, art historical research, and project management capabilities to further their creative goals.
