Our music program provides multiple degree choices for majors while welcoming students from other fields to join our ensembles. The percussion facilities at the School of Music are top-tier, with our collection of percussion instruments continually growing. Students in our comprehensive percussion program must engage with diverse band and ensemble activities across campus. Performance options feature the Carolina Marching Band, three concert bands, UofSC Symphony Orchestra, Southern Exposure New Music Series, UofSC Percussion Ensemble, Percussion Players, and the Palmetto Pans Steel Band. Annually, UofSC organizes the South Carolina Day of Percussion event.
