During summer, SIUE's musical theater scene flourishes with SIUE Summer Showbiz staging faculty-directed professional musicals. Additionally, the Music Department conducts an intensive Musical Theater Workshop each summer, offering comprehensive training in vocal techniques, dance, audition skills, and monologue preparation. Musical theater majors receive foundational training in core performance techniques essential for theatrical or entertainment careers, which they refine through practical stage experience.
