The Political Science Program, an undergraduate-exclusive pathway to a BA degree, aligns with USC Aiken's mission as outlined on page 1 of the USC Aiken Bulletin and works toward these objectives. Our dedicated mission includes: Enhancing the liberal arts education for all USC Aiken students, Equipping Political Science majors to fulfill program criteria and earn their BA degree, Supporting other academic fields through Political Science courses as electives, minors, and supplementary requirements, Enriching the USC Aiken community via faculty engagement, Extending scholarly knowledge and professional skills to the Aiken area and wider regions. Faculty members achieve this mission through teaching, research, service, and a commitment to academic distinction.
International freshman applicants must be high school graduates (students that have the equivalent of a diploma in the United States).
English proficiency is measured through the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). A score of at least 550 on the paper based exam or 77 on the internet based TOEFL is required. USC also accepts the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or the PTE Academic Test. Students must score at least a 6.5 on the IELTS, or at least a 53 on the PTE.
