The University of Nevada, Reno's political science program features five academic concentrations:

American Government: This concentration examines U.S. political processes, citizen participation, and governing bodies, including their interrelationships. Coursework explores electoral behavior, campaign strategies, political cognition, group identities, legislative processes, executive functions, judicial systems, media roles, regional governance, and advocacy organizations.
Cross-National Politics: Scholars in this field analyze political-economic systems and historical developments by comparing societal structures across and within nations. Researchers investigate governance models, political groups, and civic engagement patterns at various jurisdictional levels to uncover universal political principles.
Global Politics: This specialization studies relationships between nations and transnational actors, covering cooperation and disputes. Qualification Requirements

To be admitted to an undergraduate degree program as a regular freshman student, you must be a graduate from an approved or accredited high school. You must have a 3.0 weighted GPA in the academic core courses in order to be admitted to the University of Nevada, Reno.

Verification of having met the English requirement through one of the following options: TOEFL score 61+; IELTS (must be academic version) with a score of 6.0+; Duolingo English Exam score 95+; Cambridge score of B2+.
