Political science explores systems of governance, public policies, and how individuals and groups engage in political activities. The Bachelor of Arts in Political Science equips students with refined communication capabilities (including writing, debate, and public speaking) alongside critical thinking skills. The curriculum covers core political science concepts: theoretical frameworks, governmental procedures, fundamental principles, institutional structures, legal systems, policy development, global relations, diplomatic affairs, and research methodologies. Learners are urged to gain practical experience through extracurricular activities like internships with nonprofits or governmental bodies such as the Arizona Legislature, Arizona Superior Court, or political campaigns.
