The Political Science Department's programs aim to educate students on modern public policy essentials, the significance of political systems and democratic processes, and methods for shaping government actions to address societal needs. A Political Science major provides a solid Liberal Arts base, which serves as a springboard for numerous professional paths across private businesses, non-profit organizations, and government agencies. Pursuing advanced studies can unlock opportunities in emerging fields such as legal practice, academia, municipal administration, media, corporate communications, policy analysis, advocacy work, fundraising leadership, elected office, police service, legislative coordination, and educational administration.
If you have successfully completed your high school degree (12 years of primary and secondary education), you are considered an undergraduate student at CSU.
