The Master of Education in Physical Education (P-12) is a certification program that equips students to become Physical Education instructors in schools. Graduates who successfully complete the program requirements earn a Master of Education degree and qualify for Class A Teaching Certification from the Alabama State Department of Education. This 30-credit-hour program is accredited by both the Alabama State Department of Education (ALSDE) and the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP). It offers diverse courses aimed at enhancing physical education teachers' expertise and abilities. Additionally, the curriculum incorporates coursework and practical experiences that familiarize and engage students in foundational research within the physical education discipline.
