The Department provides Graduate Certificate programs in three specialized fields: Coastal Engineering, Structural Engineering, and Water/Wastewater Engineering. Earning a Certificate involves completing 12 credit hours (four courses) within a chosen specialization. Successful candidates receive a Graduate Certificate, with all credits counting as full graduate-level credits that may be applied toward a USA MSCE degree or transferred to other universities.

Qualification Requirements

A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
A grade-point average of 3.0 or greater (A=4.0) on all undergraduate work.
Verification of registration by examination as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) can be substituted for the GPA requirement.
International students whose native language is not English must submit official scores showing a score of 71 or higher on the internet-based TOEFL, or an IELTS band score of 6.5 or higher
